Asiago D.O.P. (300g)

Asiago D.O.P. is a gloriously mature and crumbly cow's cheese that has been produced for more than 1,000 years in an area that stretches from the meadows of the Po Valley to the Alpine pastures of the Veneto. In texture, it is rather similar to Parmesan when aged, but when less mature, as this example is, it has an intense, sweet taste and flavour.

Grate it or slice it for sandwiches of for toasting in a panini, or eat it just as it is with a glass of full-bodied Italian red wine so as to fully appreciate its gorgeous flavours.
