Born in Naples in the XII century, Spaghetti take their name by their shape of long and thin strings, in Italian "spaghi".

Barilla Spaghetti n. 5 is a durum wheat semolina pasta originally from Naples.

Barilla Spaghetti can be served with fresh or canned tomato passata, warm or cold sauces with vegetables and aromatic herbs.
Barilla Spaghetti are also great with quick hot spicy sauces with garlic and Cayen pepper. Spaghetti are perfect as well with fish sauces such as shellfish and fruit de mer, "white" sauces made with milk, cream, mascarpone, soft and melted cheeses, adding spices such as saffron, curry and ginger.
