Producer: Sardinia's mixture of wine matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Mourvedre) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style.

Vineyard: The Crabilis is from the vineyard of Is Crabilis, a limestone-sandy hill completely covered in vines. The top of the hill is at 220 metres above sea level and the vineyard is situated about ten kilometres away from the winery.

Winery: After a soft pressing of the grapes, selected yeasts were added to the must which was left to ferment in stainless steel vats. Following fermentation, there is a light clarification, and the wine is then allowed to rest for a few months in the vats before bottling.

Taste: Intense, persistent floral bouquet with notes of thyme and greengage. A winning combination of depth and freshness on the palate - this is benchmark Vermentino.
