Pecorino di Pienza Semi Matured (300g)

Pecorino di Pienza .The cylindrical, slab-sided forms are twelve to sixteen cm in diameter, five to twelve cm thick, whitish with violet undertones on the outside and pale yellow on the inside. They can weigh from between 900g and 1.6kg. Flavour is strong with a winy and somewhat tannic aftertaste.

Area of production: Province of Siena, principally within the township of Montefollonico.

Sheep's milk pasteurized, salt, rennet and milk enzymes.
