Toma Piemontese DOP from Piedmont (300g)
Toma recalls the dialect name for the cheese of the production area in the mountains and hills of Piedmont (north-west of Italy). Partially cooked cheese produced exclusively with cow's milk coming from Piemonte. It has a smooth and elastic rind, with rustic aspects:its colour can vary from pale yellow to dark red. This cheese is subjected to a maturing process according to traditional techniques depending on the dimension. It is straw coloured ranging from creamy to compact, elastic and with small holes of irregular shape. The taste can be sweet or savoury with a delicate fragrance.
Cow milk pasteurized, salt, rennet.
