This is the typical bread from Sardinia that is incredibly thin and brittle. It is made by Guilio Bulloni in Bitti to his families traditional recipe.
It comes in large round sheets that are about 35cm in diameter in an attractive box. The bread is perfect for putting with cured meats, cheeses or just sprinkled with a little olive oil and salt. It could work fantastically as a presentation plate because it is such a novelty.
The Bulloni family recommends the following recipe: Soak the bread in warm salty water and then lay it out with a tomato sauce and cheese with a boiled egg on top.
