Producer: Alfredo Prunotto gave his name and thirty-three years of his life to this renowned winery in Piedmont. Since 1989 it has been owned by the Antinori family, who have sought to boost the already high standards by extending the vineyard holdings, including plots in the de facto grands crus of Bric Turot and Bussia. The quality of the top wines goes without saying, but the rest of the range is made with equal aplomb. The style is modern without being exaggerated: freshness of aroma and approachability of structure are viewed aspositives.

Vineyard: This Dolcetto is grown on sandy clay soils in the Barbaresco, Treiso, Alba and Monforte districts.

Winery: Following pressing, fermentation took place at 27-28C with a seven-day maceration. The wine was bottled unoaked in the spring following the vintage.

Taste: Typical Dolcetto: striking violet colour, vibrant plum and redcurrant fruit, with a bright, aromatic palate.
